Musculoskeletal Conditions
Can affect the body involving the muscles, joints, tendons, ligaments, and nerves.
Two types of injuires are most common:
1. overuse or non-traumatic injury: typically occurs overtime with overuse or repetitive microtrauma to the affected area in result causing injury over a period of time. This is considered a chronic injury and can be more difficult to manage if not treated properly.
2. traumatic injury: most commonly associated with known injury or blunt force such as an athletic affiliated injury or episodic fall. This type of injury is acute and requires immediate attention.
Neurological Conditions
Disorders affecting the neurological pathways in the body including the spinal cord and the brain.
We treat subacute injuries including traumatic brain injuries, cerebral vascual accidents (stroke), cerebral palsy, ideopathic toe walking,
Post-surgical Rehabilitation
Rehabilitative care after:
- Total joint replacements including knee, hip and shoulder with emphasis on most current evidence based research for rehab process
- Knee procedures including ACL reconstruction via patellar tendon, hamstrings, or donor graft method, menisectomy, meniscus repair, lateral release, chrondroplasty,
- Shoulder procedures including RTC repair, subacromial decompression with or without clavical excision,
- Foot/ankle reconstructive surgery, achilles tendon repair
- Spinal procedures including decompression and spinal fusion
Vestibular & Balance Disorders
There are three essential functions that our body utilizes to remain balanced.
1. Proprioceptive Receptors- the ankle, hip and stepping response to and outside force.
Our muscles, and therefore effectively our strength, responds to the movement underneath our feet which sends signals through our proprioceptive receptors to our brain to signal an adjustment to balance ourselves.
People with neuropathy in their lower legs have sometimes a lower ability to receive their proprioceptive input.

2. Vision- eyesight
Most people do not seem to become "clumsy" until nighttime. This is when our visual system is dampered.
Be certain to utilize a nightlight in hallways and clear throw rugs in walking paths to avoid fall risks especially at night when vision is more impaired, as well as balance.

3. Vestibular system- inner ear balance system
This system is especially active when vision is impaired/ eyes are closed. Dysfunction of this system can result in vertigo, dizziness, motion sickness, headaches, nausea, blurred vision, bouncy vision, etc.
